McG
Hollywood Breakthrough
Directing Award™

McG McG's feature film directorial debut, Charlie's Angels, boasts the biggest opening ever for a first-time director. The film debuted at #1 in the United States with over $40 million at the box office. Featuring a star-studded cast -- Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Bill Murray -- Charlie's Angels also opened #1 in 31 territories internationally with total grosses over $250 million worldwide.

McG is currently shooting Charlie's Angels: Halo, the sequel to Charlie's Angels, with the three Angels returning in their roles and Bernie Mac joining the team as Bosley. The sequel is scheduled to be released June 27, 2003. McG is also developing the revitalized Superman franchise for Warner Bros.

Since the unprecedented success of his feature film debut, McG has formed a production company, Wonderland, with producing partner Stephanie Savage. Wonderland has a three-year, first-look deal with Columbia Pictures, where they have several big budget films in development. The company sold its first television series (the pilot was directed by McG) -- a colorful buddy cop show -- to Fox Broadcasting Corporation. This highly-anticipated show, Fastlane, debuts in the fall of 2002. Wonderland's success, with the development of Fastlane, was recently rewarded with a two-year deal with Warner Bros. television.

To date, McG has directed almost 50 music videos, featuring a diverse group of artists such as Mase, Barenaked Ladies, Korn, Everclear, The Offspring, Wyclef Jean, Fastball, Spacehog, Sublime, Cypress Hill, Smashmouth and Sugar Ray. In 1997, he received Billboard's Pop Video of the Year Award for Smashmouth's "Walking on the Sun" as well as the Music Video Production Association's Pop Video of the Year Award for Sugar Ray's "Fly," a song he also co-wrote as well as the hit, "Every Morning.²
