INTERSTATE 60
United States - Premiere
117 mins. Arclight Cinemas Other Theater, 6:30 pm, Oct. 5, Saturday. Despite his good looks and winning smile, Neal Oliver (James Marsden) is conflicted about his life. So, on his 22nd birthday, he wishes for "an answer." Amazingly, this wish is granted by a mythical character with an unusual sense of humor (Gary Oldman), and leads to a journey along a highway that can't be found on any map, where things get ... a little strange. Is it a dream? A nightmare? Or something else? Interstate 60 is a unique, offbeat blend of fantasy, comedy, satire and drama, with echoes of The Twilight Zone and Alice in Wonderland.
Director/Writer: Bob Gale
Producers: Peter Bray, Neil Canton, Ira Deutchman, Bob Gale, Peter Newman
Cinematography: Denis Maloney
Editor: Michael Fallavollita

L'INVERNO
Italy - U.S. Premiere
97 mins. Arclight Cinemas Theater 9, 9:20 pm, Oct. 5, Saturday. Leo and Marta, Gustavo and Anna are two couples who meet in the suburbs of a post-industrial city. Leo is a young writer who is struggling to make a name for himself. The highly attractive Marta is hoping to open a gallery. Leo and Marta's relationship has become rather indecisive recently. Neither of them are brave enough to consider their future together and this leaves them in a kind of emotionless limbo. Gustavo is a 50-year-old industrialist, whose marriage to Anna, a neurotic translator, has become both awkward and perverse, casting their whole relationship into doubt. The gentle and obsequious Anna enchants Leo with her seductive femininity. This says something about his relationship to Marta, which, from the outside, at least, appears to be perfectly stable. One day, a major -- and final -- misunderstanding between Marta and Leo leaves them unable to find the words to persuade the other to stay -- in spite of their love for each other. Gustavo and Anna continue their sterile existence in a world filled with alcohol, infidelity, sedatives and fetishes.

ME & MORRISON
Finland - U.S. Premiere
88 mins. Arclight Cinemas Theater 9, 9:00 pm, Oct. 4, Friday.
What happens when two urban drifters end up in the same bed? They are full of hope and dope, without a sense of reality. Funny, yes, but also tragic and deeply touching. A bittersweet tale of a love affair between two people whose lives seem to have lost all direction. A film about love, dependence, and self-deception.
