Hollywood Fest to fete Rolf and Kovacs
Hollywood Movie Awards Aug. 6 at Beverly Hilton

The fifth annual Hollywood Film Festival will present cinematographer Laszlo Kovacs with the Hollywood Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography Award while Academy Award-winninng editor Tom Rolf ("The Right Stuff") will be honored with the Hollywood Outstanding Achievement in Editing Award.

Both kudos will be bestowed upon the honorees as part of the Hollywood Movie Awards gala ceremony on Aug. 6 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

"Mr. Kovacs' great talent as a cinematographer and Mr. Rolf's exemplary craft as a film editor are demonstrations of excellence," said Carlos de Abreu, founder and executive director of the Hollywood Film Festival. "Their outstanding vision, talent and command of their crafts have earned them a place among Hollywood's most accomplished and highly regarded professionals."

Kovacs' films include "Miss Congeniality," "Jack Frost," "My Best Friend's Wedding," "Little Nikita," "Mask," "Ghostbusters," "Inside Moves," "New York, New York," "Shampoo," "Paper Moon," "What's Up, Doc?," "Five Easy Pieces," and "Easy Rider."

Rolf's film editing is on display in such pics as "The Horse Whisperer," "Heat," "Jacob's Ladder," "Black Rain," "Outrageous Fortune," "Thief of Hearts," "WarGames," "Ghost Story," "New York, New York," and "Taxi Driver."
