In addition, the Hollywood NetAwards® and Netawards.com will bestow the "Hollywood Special Achievement Netawards" on established entertainers, leaders and innovators who have been in the vanguard of the new media.

The awards' criteria is based on the websites' content, interactivity, structure and navigation, visual design functionality and overall experience.

The Hollywood NetAwards® ceremony honoring the best of the Internet will be held in Hollywood on October 22 and will open the 12th Annual Hollywood Film Festival® and Hollywood Awards®.
