In addition, Amy Pascal is the Chairman of Columbia Pictures. She is responsible for overseeing all development and production activities at the studio. Prior to being named Chairman of Columbia Pictures in December 1999, Ms. Pascal served as President of Columbia Pictures for three years. Under her guidance, Columbia Pictures has had substantial success with such films as Spider-Man (which has grossed more than $800 million worldwide at the box office), Panic Room, Mr. Deeds, Men in Black II, Charlie's Angels, Big Daddy, Stuart Little, and A Knight's Tale, among others.

Recent releases have included Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu, Bad Boys II, directed by Michael Bay and starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, and S.W.A.T., starring Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Farrell. Upcoming projects include Robert Rodriguez's Once Upon a Time in Mexico, a sequel to Desperado, starring Antonio Banderas as the mythic hero El Mariachi, and Spider-Man 2, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst.

Ms. Pascal has worked at Columbia Pictures for a total of 14 years. She was a studio executive for Columbia from 1987 to 1994, then was President of Production for Turner Pictures for two years before rejoining Columbia in 1996. From 1986 to 1987, Ms. Pascal was Vice-President of Production at 20th Century Fox.
