SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The festival's competition categories include:

  • Features – Best Feature Film: Drama and Comedy
  • Documentaries – Best Documentary
  • Short Subjects – Best Short Subject
  • Music Videos – Best Music Video

Selected Filmmakers will be competing for the Hollywood Discovery Awards®, a stand alone ceremony at the end of the festival screenings.

To enter the Hollywood Film Festival competition, please submit a completed FEATURE, DOCUMENTARY OR SHORT SUBJECT. We accept both Domestic and International submissions. Entries must be submitted on a DVD. DVDs will not be returned.

Note: If selected, filmmaker agrees to furnish 1 copy of film on either a 35 mm, print, Digibeta or Beta SP (NTSC format). The festival will also need 4 complete press kits from filmmakers whose films are selected as finalists.

Foreign language films must have subtitles.

DEADLINES: Film submissions are accepted monthly. PLEASE SUBMIT NOW. DO NOT WAIT FOR FINAL DEADLINE..

PRIZES: Winners will receive: VIP Passes (access to the Gala, Screenings, and Parties).

Note: Feature Films are more than 40 minutes in length. The length of Short Subjects is 40 minutes or less.
