The movies that Douglas Wick has produced have earned more than $1.5 billion at the box office, and they have received twenty Academy Award nominations and won seven Oscars®:

In 2000, Mr. Wick produced Gladiator, which received twelve Academy Award nominations (the highest total for the year 2000), and won five Oscars®, including Best Picture for Mr. Wick. Gladiator, which was directed by Ridley Scott and starred Russell Crowe, became a worldwide phenomenon and grossed over $450 million worldwide. The movie also won two Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture, and four British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards including another Best Picture for Mr. Wick.

In 2001, Mr. Wick expanded his company, Red Wagon Entertainment, to bring in Lucy Fisher (the dynamic producer and former vice-chairman of the Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group) as his partner. Separately and together, Mr. Wick and Ms. Fisher have worked with some of the most accomplished filmmakers in the world.

Mr. Wick produced the beloved blockbuster, Stuart Little, which starred Academy Award winner Geena Davis and featured the voices of Michael J. Fox as Stuart, and Nathan Lane as Snowbell the cat. Stuart Little earned over $300 million worldwide, as well as an Oscar® nomination. It became an instant classic, a top-selling video, and a family franchise for Sony.

Stuart Little 2 reunites the entire original creative team and cast, as well as adding two new characters voiced by Melanie Griffith and James Woods. The movie, released in July 2002, was once again directed by the original director, Rob Minkoff, who also directed The Lion King.

Recently released from Mr. Wick and Red Wagon is the international espionage thriller Spy Game, which paired movie icons Robert Redford and Brad Pitt, and was directed by Tony Scott. Mr. Wick also produced the Paul Verhoeven sci-fi thriller Hollow Man, which introduced dazzling, cutting-edge visual effects depicting an invisible villain, and he also produced the critically acclaimed Girl, Interrupted, for which Angelina Jolie won both an Oscar® and a Golden Globe for her breakthrough performance.

Next on the production slate for Mr. Wick and Ms. Fisher is the first live action version of J.M. Barrie's classic Peter Pan, which will be directed by P.J. Hogan (My Best Friend's Wedding and Muriel's Wedding) and will begin production in September. Following Peter Pan will be the highly anticipated Memoirs of a Geisha, which has been on The New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists for over 100 weeks. Steven Spielberg will be joining Mr. Wick and Ms. Fisher as producer. Starting production early in 2003 is the World War II epic Fertig to be directed by David Fincher.

Mr. Wick's first solo producing effort was Working Girl, which Mike Nichols directed. It starred Harrison Ford, Melanie Griffith and Sigourney Weaver. Working Girl garnered six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, and won one Oscar®. It also won five Golden Globes, including Best Picture for Mr. Wick. Mr. Wick teamed up with Mike Nichols again when he produced Wolf, which starred Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer. Mr. Wick also produced The Craft, the original teenage witch sensation, which was directed by Andy Fleming and starred Neve Campbell.

After graduating cum laude from Yale University, Mr. Wick began his career as a coffee boy for filmmaker Alan Pakula. He earned his first credit as associate producer on Starting Over.

Mr. Wick currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Center for Early Education in Los Angeles, the Board of Directors for the Producers Guild of America, and is a Co-Founder of CuresNow (Citizens United for Research in Ethics and Science). He has been awarded the Saturn Award, the Los Angeles Father of the Year Award, the "Producer of the Year" at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Motion Picture Club's "Producer of the Year" and the 2002 NATO ShoWest "Producer of the Year."

Mr. Wick is married to his partner, Lucy Fisher. They reside in Los Angeles with their three daughters.
